SGM weather hike 2021

Due to the rather unfavourable weather forecast (high fog and humid conditions were expected in the morning) the more ambitious option starting in Baden was skipped, and all 14 participants started their hike together in Regensberg. After a hearty lunch time break at the Hochwacht restaurant, Stephan Henne from Empa joined us and led us to a measurement tower close to the Lägern summit where he presented a hands-on overview on the greenhouse gas measurements carried out at that place. In fair weather we continued for some time along the ridge until a lookout and most of us then returned to Regensberg via the same way. Some of us, however, couldn't resist the temptation to descent to Baden via the ridge trail in finally perfect weather conditions. Thanks to all who joined us, and thanks especially to Stephan Henne for his entertaining and informative presentation at the tower! We're certainly looking forward to our next SGM weather hike which will probably take place in 2022!
