Symposium & General Assembly SGM 2021
The annual symposium followed by the general assembly of the Swiss Society for Meteorology (SSM) was held on Friday, 5 November, 12:45 - 18:00 at the Alumni-Pavillon at ETH Zurich
Ulrike Lohmann from ETH Zurich gave us an exciting insight into cloud seeding and scientific studies on weather modifocations. Afterwards, 12 master students presented their current thesis and exchange information about their project with the participants of the symposium. After some coffee and snacks, Regula Gehrig from MeteoSwiss offered us an overview of the Swiss pollen monitoring network and Karl Gutbrot, CEO of meteoblue, told us something about their weather forecasting system and the long tradition of "Meteorology in Basel".
